Field Install Mechanical Engineer - Shift lead

You are working in the Production Operations Department. Within this department you are part of the Decom & Install team with focus on the system integration, testing and validation of our metrology machine at our customer’ factories in Korea, US, Japan, Taiwan (more will follow). The work will mainly take place in the customer clean room.
IAs Install Build Shift Lead, It will be your mission to make sure that all (sub)modules are integrated in the right way to create a high performing metrology machine for our clients. To realize it will be needed to have the shift (up to 6 engineers) work together as a team. You will be traveling for 40-70% of the time for periods of 2-8 weeks (occasionally longer). The remaining time you will be working in the Headquarters in Rotterdam supporting production (in cleanroom) and to analyse and structurally improve issues, processes, and ways of working based on your experiences in the field.
Main responsibilities include:
Responsible for the safety of the team and the system in the customer fab. Make sure the safety rules, processes and PPE requirements are applied consistently during work. Identify and act on (potential) risks. Speak-up or Pauze the work if needed.
Make sure that all (sub)modules are integrated in the right way to create a high performing metrology machine for our clients.
Assembles parts/modules based on drawings and instructions;
Check whether required components are present and meet the set (quality) standards;
Plan work ahead and set timelines. Be pro-active and indicate/act in a timely manner if a problem or a bottleneck is expected; Replan and optimize (parallel) securing progress and quality;
Troubleshoot (hands-on) and solve any technical issues that arise;
Report progress of system;
Collaborating with D&E (Design & Engineering) engineers and other stakeholders to get to the bottom of issues;
Ensure that the workplace organized and clean. You are representing the company at the customer!
Collaborate closely with colleagues within own area of focus and/or other teams.
Train for more junior colleagues and lead by example (also in attitude and behaviour)

Furthermore, you need to recognize yourself in the profile as described below.
BSc (University or Dutch HBO) and /or MSc in Instrumentation, Nano Technology, Optical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics or similar;
At least 2 years of experience in hands-on activities on highly complex systems, like semiconductor equipment, satellites, astronomy equipment, flight simulators or similar field;
Leadership: ability to lead and motivate a team to work together and divide work;
Willing to travel 40-70% of the work time;
You have worked with hand tools and measurement equipment;
You can work 5 days a week on-site in the clean room;
You are able to work in stressful and dynamic situation;
Professional-level English proficiency;
Pro-activeness, ownership and hands-on mentality;
Ability and affinity to collaborate cross-culture;
Commitment to the (traveling) role for 3 years.
