Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.

Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 170 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system. 

What will you be doing?

As an HR Advisor, you will be part of the HR & Recruitment team. Throughout the day you are the first point of contact for all HR-related questions. You manage the HR-inbox, maintain employee records (sick leave, pensions etc.), and manage the full employee onboarding process; from drafting employment agreements, gathering and maintaining the necessary documents, aligning with internal and external stakeholders and scheduling the physical onboarding, to supporting on immigration and relocation topics for our expat employees. As time progresses, there will be plenty of room to expand your portfolio of tasks and responsibilities.

Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Checking and maintaining personnel data (personal information, sick leave, etc.)

  • Arranging the full-cycle onboarding of new employees

  • Assist current and future employees with all HR related questions/requests.

  • Arrange 30% ruling applications

  • Arrange permit applications at IND for our Highly Skilled Migrant employees

  • Support in monthly payroll activities.

What do we require from you?

Startups can be a hectic environment, but also provide plenty of learning and development opportunities. We are looking for a people-person who is proactive, likes a challenge and gets energized by quickly shifting gears. You are perceptive and not afraid to give your input to continuously improve our HR-processes.  Next to that, we ask the following prerequisites:

  • 2 years of experience as HR Administrator / HR Assistant, preferably in an international environment;

  • MBO+ or HBO level degree in Human Resources or an adjacent field;

  • Experience with Dutch HR legislation and HR expatriate topics (30% ruling, Highly Skilled Migrant applications, etc.) is a plus;

  • Excellent communication skills (Dutch - mandatory - and English, both written and spoken);

  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);

  • Experience with payroll administration;

  • You are detail oriented and possess a high level of autonomy.
