Founded in 2016, Nearfield brings together leading experts in science and engineering to develop a unique, high-throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) platform delivering true 3D, sub-nanometer resolution metrology at production scale.

Taiwan is a key strategic market for Nearfield, with close collaboration with leading semiconductor manufacturers and ecosystem partners.

What is your role and impact?

As Business Development Manager in Taiwan, you play a key role in driving Nearfield’s growth in one of the most important semiconductor markets globally.

You translate customer needs into business opportunities by aligning market demand with Nearfield’s technology roadmap. You identify new applications, customers, and use cases for our solutions and ensure we bring the right value proposition to the market.

You act as a key interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring fast follow-up, clear communication, and strong alignment.

What will you be doing?

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Drive business growth and expand Nearfield’s footprint in Taiwan

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy aligned with company objectives

  • Identify new applications, markets, and customer segments

  • Define target markets and long-term growth opportunities

Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key semiconductor customers

  • Represent Nearfield in customer meetings, executive alignments, and industry events

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development

Opportunity Development & Sales

  • Develop the complete offering and pricing strategy for customers

  • Lead discussions on performance, specifications, timelines, and commercial terms

  • Support negotiations and contribute to securing new business deals

Market & Competitive Insights

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning

  • Translate insights into actionable opportunities and product requirements

  • Stay up to date on industry developments and technology trends

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Applications, and Marketing teams

  • Ensure alignment between customer requirements and product roadmap

  • Drive feedback loops from customers into internal development teams

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Business, or related field

  • Strong experience in business development, sales, or account management in the semiconductor industry

  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key customers

  • Experience with high-tech or semiconductor equipment environments

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value

  • Strong understanding of the Taiwan semiconductor ecosystem

  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is required

  • Willingness to travel within Taiwan and internationally
