Nearfield Instruments (NFI) brings together the most creative minds in science and technology. We develop a revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system enabling atom-scale resolution 3D metrology at industry-level throughput, based on three pillars:
• Unrivaled measurement speed
• Parallelization capability
• Advanced measurement modes
At NFI, we design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced metrology machines. This enables the world’s leading chipmakers to increase production yields, and functionality of their microchips which you find in cars, phones, server farms and other locations. We aim to develop leading-edge metrology systems, to be installed at the customer site, within specifications, on time, with quality exceeding the customer’s expectations.
OUR CORE VALUES
• lead, not follow
• open and honest
• empowerment and trust
• passion and determination
• fun and open-minded
• “to boldly go”
What will you be doing?
As a Field Service Engineer, you will service our semiconductor metrology systems in the customer’s fab and are responsible for periodic and preventive maintenance on our products. Besides that you will be involved in planning and executing hardware and software upgrades upgrades. You are the eyes and ears of Nearfield in the fab so value your input not just about our products but also what you hear about unmet customer needs or where we need to improve compared to our competition. To ensure we all learn from each other and improve our ways of working, contributing to structural improvements, adjusting our procedures, updating the issue database, and in general suggesting how we can do better is not only appreciated but also expected at Nearfield.
