Job description
Meet the complex metrology needs of the semiconductor industry in this customer-facing role at a rapidly growing scale-up.
About Nearfield Instruments
Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enables our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 320 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.
What you're going to do
In your role, you will be bridging the gap between product development, onsite customer application services, and sales. Helping the world’s leading chipmakers stay in control of their manufacturing processes, you will convince them of the capabilities of our cutting-edge atomic force microscopy (AFM) systems, demonstrating them on customer wafers, and contribute to R&D to meet future needs.
Your responsibilities include:
• Identifying our customer’s metrology needs, for which you will work closely with marketing and sales colleagues and attend meetings with customers.
• Demonstrating the capabilities of our products, performing measurements on customer wafers, and analyzing the data generated.
• Reporting and presenting your findings to our customers, showing the unique potential of our systems.
• Creating measurement recipes in the customer fab, working closely with the customer. You will also conduct tests to ensure that specifications are met and train the engineers and operators of our customers.
• Working closely with colleagues in Development & Engineering and R&D to develop new measurement modes and metrology solutions, data processing algorithms, and improve user-friendliness and product performance. You will provide input based on your insights into our customers’ roadmaps, user experiences and needs.
Who you'll be working with
As a rapidly growing scale-up, we have no closely defined boundaries or hierarchy. We all work together to realise Nearfield Instruments’ growth strategy. What connects us is a drive to develop and build deeptech metrology solutions, enabling 5G connectivity, AI, autonomous mobility and so much more. As an international team, we have different cultural backgrounds, which is why diversity and inclusion come naturally to us. Our combined identities and ambitions enrich our culture and make up our strength. We encourage you to be authentic and empower you to grow your role and career in an open, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
