Job description
About Nearfield Instruments
Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enables our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 380 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.
In an AFM system (like the Quadra of NFI), probes (the measurement needles) are a crucial element. Probes have a limited lifetime and thus are a consumable, which need regular supply, to prevent unavailability of the measurement tool. Therefore, probes supply is an essential element of the service to our customers.
Each probe has individual characteristics (resonance frequencies, stiffness, etc.) which are important parameters to tune the measurement process with that specific probe. These characteristics should be measured when probes are delivered to our customers.
Job requirements
As probes QA Engineer you play an important role in the daily operations for probes delivery. You will be end-to-end responsible for the quality of the probes. To investigate such issues you will cooperate with colleagues from R&D and D&E to perform root cause analysis and propose & implement solutions.
Key responsibilities:
