Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enables our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase the production yields, and thus, functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.

Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 320 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.

What will you do:

As a Project Manager you lead cross functional project teams to deliver innovative products or product improvements to our customers. You steer the development according our product development process to meet the requirements, and you ensure in time delivery and the project staying within budget. With the team you make the project plan and use that to keep the project on track in order to meet the committed milestones. You identify the risks and mitigate them. You ensure that all deliverables to qualify the product and produce it repeatedly are completed. You define the KPI to measure project progress and success. You work with the various team leads to ensure proper staffing of the project.

Who you’ll be working with:

You’ll be joining Nearfield Instruments’ Program management team which is a dynamic, diverse team from all over the world. You will be collaborating through the full organization, from sales & marketing, system engineering, engineers from the D&E organization, supply chain to the assembly and test department. What connects us is a drive to develop and build deep-tech metrology solutions that solve our customers’ complex technical challenges and to exceed customer expectations.

Job requirements

Who you are:

With your strong leadership skills, you boldly get things done while keeping quality, deadlines and customer satisfaction in mind. You have an excellent command of English and demonstrated abilities to lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team. You also have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience with leading development and improvement project for complex deeptech innovative mechatronics products.

  • A Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Physics, or a related field.

  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment, with suppliers and co-developers.

  • Excellent problem analysis skills.

  • The skills to make a solid project plan and use it to meet the committed timelines
