Where you will be working?
Within our Design & Engineering department this role is part of the Software Group. This SW Group consists of 5 teams (Architectural, Machine Control, Device Control, Data Science, Integration & Support). Your focus will be the Machine Control where you develop software to give commands to the sub system control to tell our machine what to do.
What will you be doing
As a Senior Software Engineer at Nearfield Instruments, you develop and maintain specialized knowledge related to a semiconductor desktop application, serving as a technical go-to person for both Product Owners and Developers.
You are developing and maintaining specialist knowledge on a defined topic;
You understand Agile/Scrum well. You facilitate PO and release manager, help them to plan the work for the release;
You collect requirements from Product owners and translate product requirements to SW level requirements;
You are able to make a high level architect design and/or high level module/component design to fulfill the both SW level requirements and product requirements;
You are able to troubleshoot technical issues that involve software development, engineering tasks and product releases.

Education: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant education background;
Above 10 years of experience in software development in C#;
Above 5 years of experience in software system design, and architecture;
Sufficient knowledge with using tools such as Git, JIRA and PlantUML;
Good communication skills;
Able to split the work into several development phases and clearly communicate with developers;
Coaching ability, as a technical advisor, you make sure that the team stays up-to-date with relevant knowledge;
Assuring the technical quality of designs.
