The Role

As Service Manager South Korea, you will lead and scale our local service operations, ensuring world-class support to our customers. You will be responsible for building a strong service organization, driving operational excellence, and maintaining high system performance in the field.

In this role you work closely with global Service, Engineering, and Operations teams. You will play a critical role in strengthening customer relationships and supporting business growth in one of our most strategic markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and expand the South Korea service team (Field Service Engineers and support staff)

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical and customer issues

  • Ensure high system uptime and customer satisfaction through proactive service management

  • Develop and implement service processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Coordinate installations, maintenance, and upgrades of advanced metrology systems

  • Collaborate closely with global teams to ensure alignment on service strategy and execution

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders

  • Drive optimization of spare parts pricing and logistics

  • Engage in strategic discussions with customers on service contracts

  • Support the Country Manager in scaling local operations and service capabilities

Job requirements

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or related)

  • Proven experience in semiconductor equipment service or support environments

  • Experience in leading or mentoring technical service teams

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and customer environments

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical systems and manage escalations effectively

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluent in Korean and English

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills

  • Willingness to travel within South Korea and occasionally internationally
