Where you will be working?

You will be working in the Production Operations department, as part of the Strategic Supply Chain Management team.

What will you be doing?

The Production Planner plays a critical role in coordinating and optimizing the production processes within the semiconductor industry.  

This position involves overseeing the scheduling, planning, and coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality semiconductor products.  

The Production Planner collaborates closely with various departments to meet production targets and customer requirements. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels. Ensure alignment with production goals and deadlines.  

  • Capacity Planning: Analyse production capacity and constraints to optimize resource utilization and minimize production downtime. Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.  

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure adequate inventory levels while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.  

  • Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand demand forecasts and market trends. Use forecasting tools and techniques to anticipate future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.  

  • Production Coordination: Liaise with manufacturing teams to communicate production schedules, priorities, and any changes or updates. Ensure smooth coordination between different production stages to minimize delays and disruptions.  

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in production planning and scheduling. Implement best practices and participate in cross-functional initiatives to drive continuous improvement.  

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production yield, and inventory turnover. Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.  

  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of product quality and reliability. 

What do we expect from you?

  • Education background in relevant field, including technical studies, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration;

  • 3 years or more experience in similar position as planner;

  • Having worked for companies building high-tech equipment is a pre;

  • Proficient using ERP;

  • Experience with Data Analytics;

  • You can perform under pressure and tight schedule.
