Nearfield Instruments (NFI) is a fast-growing scale-up high-tech company. We design, develop, integrate, market and service advanced metrology machines. Our machines enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to increase their production yields and functionality of their microchips, which leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Founded in 2016, we bring together the most creative minds (approx. 160 employees) in science and technology and develop a one-of-a-kind, revolutionary high throughput Scanning Probe Microscopy system.
You are part of the Project Management team that consists of 8 colleagues. This PM Team is part of the Design & Engineering Department and is managed by the Manager Project Management.
What will you be doing?
As a Project Manager you will be overall responsible for developing subsystems of the NFI’s metrology machine. You will be responsible for the technical and financial (budgets and expenditures) aspects of product development within the required timing. You will also be responsible to manage supply chain (requirements & deliverable) for the sub-modules, in collaboration with NFI’s Supply Chain Manager.
You will ensure adequate staff and productive working conditions within the group and monitor all escalations for proper priority, response, staffing and follow-up. You will appoint workload, set priorities, solve problems and ensure timely and correct deliveries conform to planning. You will manage and own internal and customer performance metrics.
You are customer-oriented and have excellent problem analysis skills;
Your power of persuasion is strong, you demonstrate good communication skills and you possess natural leadership qualities;
You want to be part of a high-tech scale up with a promising future in the semiconductor industry.
5+ years of professional experience with technical project management delivering the planned scope and within defined budget;
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment, with suppliers and co-developers, to ensure timely realization of competitive, high precision, complex components, and assemblies.
You are a result-oriented and have excellent problem analysis skills;
Experienced in using task management like Atlassian JIRA.
