Where you will be working 

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the QHSE department as we are currently formalizing our QMS and function within NFI as an integral part in our continuous improvement.

What will you be doing?

As a Quality Assurance / Quality Control engineer at Nearfield Instruments your main responsibility is to control the quality of our product development, manufacturing, delivery and post delivery service, with the aim to prevent, recognize and solve any kind of deviation. Our products have a set quality level which needs to be met without any concessions. Therefore, you need to ensure all individual parts of the development and production process optimally work to meet these requirements. You will formalize and implement processes, improvement projects and analyze product and process errors.

  • Promote a positive Quality Culture through the working environment.

  • Identify quality issues occurring at operations, suppliers and at customers.

  • Drive close-out of quality non-conformances within the organization, identify trends or overdue actions and report updates to the Quality Manager/Lead when requested.

  • Secure quality during build operations by defining and executing quality inspections on manufacturing.

  • Participates in the internal and external audits schedule, preparing, reporting and closing out audit reports and actions resulting from the audit.

  • Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified, controlled and retained in accordance with project, client and regulatory requirements.

What do we expect from you?

  • You have completed a technical Bachelor or Master degree.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in QA and QC execution.

  • Knowledge of ISO or other management system standards.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or similar methodologies.

  • Independence, critical, accurate and willing to work in a team.

  • Full proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).

In addition:

  • Knowledge and experience in SEMI standards is considered as a big plus.

  • Knowledgeable about configuration control (e.g CADM) is preferable.

  • Preferably technically skilled in the field of high-tech equipment development and production.

  • Pro-activeness, being in control of the quality that is needed, ownership, organizational awareness is expected.

  • As an independent, result-oriented person you have a great track record of achievements.
