This will be your team:
Within our Design & Engineering department this role is part of the Software Group. This SW Group consists of 6 teams (Machine Control, Device Control, Data Science, Diagnostics, Production Automation, Integration & Support).
You will join the Data Science team. This team generates insights for our customers by interpreting the metrology data our machine creates into meaningful performance indicators for our customers. They do this by creating high quality algorithms, models and user-friendly software.
What will you be doing?
Take part in all development aspects from design to production
Write high quality, testable and efficient algorithms and code
Create high quality, accurate, well-generalized and efficient computer vision AI/ML models
Initiate and promote new ideas for continuous improvement of the product
Work independently and as a team member (sometimes on a global scale)
Maintain existing code
Your qualifications
Education, Experience and Background:
Education: MSc/BSc/BA degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related degree
Mandatory Experience: 5+ years experience in SW development, OOP Design/Architecture, AI/ML for Computer Vision, Unit-Testing
Experience selecting the right machine learning models for the relevant use-case
Experience with precision equipment computer-vision oriented use-cases for ML deployed on edge devices is a plus
Background in Semiconductor industry, Physics or Signal Processing is an advantage.
Skills:
You are fluent in Python and familiar with C# or C++
You have worked with most of the following : PySide / PyQt, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, OpenCV, TensorFlow / PyTorch, Math.Net, Python.Net
Source Control and Configuration: Git, CI/CD, ML training pipelines
Process and Tracking: Agile/Scrum, Jira
Your people skills
You have experience leading projects from a technical aspect
You collaborate seamlessly within a cross-disciplinary team
You are able to explain your (design) decisions to teammates with sound reasoning
You easily collaborate with non-technical stakeholders on gathering requirements and validating your results
