Join Nearfield Instruments needs you to support leading edge semiconductor customers.
Chips are shrinking, becoming increasingly powerful and complex. Currently used metrology systems in the semiconductor industry no longer meet process control requirements. Nearfield Instruments is an exciting scale up that offers the capability of measuring the most complex 3D structures at with precision and speed. As a field service engineer, you will play a key role in delivering the solution for each customer’s metrology needs. Would you like to collaborate with the world’s leading chipmakers and get to see the results of your work in practice? We’re expanding to Taiwan and are looking for pioneers to
What you’re going to do?
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be servicing our semiconductor metrology systems at the customer fab. You are responsible for periodic and preventive maintenance of our products and execute hardware (HW) and Software (SW) upgrades. You solve potential problems that occur during wafer operations. You also improve procedures, do administrative updates in the issue database, and suggest improvement proposals to increase the serviceability and reliability of NFI products.
Besides working to improve our systems you are our eyes and ears in the customer fabs for customer feedback about Nearfield and competition.
The work will include:
• Troubleshoot on NFI products in case of problems.
• Collect logging and diagnostics data, analyse and discuss it with the support team and conduct root-cause analysis
