Key Responsibilities / 主な業務内容
• Work closely with customers, sales, and marketing teams to understand customer metrology requirements and challenges.
• Conduct wafer measurements using customer wafers and analyze acquired data to demonstrate the performance and capabilities of Nearfield Instruments' systems.
• Present measurement results to customers and communicate the unique value and competitive advantages of Nearfield's metrology solutions.
• Develop and deploy measurement recipes within customer semiconductor fabrication facilities (fabs), working directly with customer engineers and operators.
• Execute qualification tests to verify compliance with customer specifications and provide training to customer engineers and operators.
• Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to:
○Develop new measurement modes and metrology solutions.
○Improve data processing algorithms.
○Enhance product performance and usability.
• Provide structured feedback based on customer roadmaps, manufacturing experiences, and user requirements to support product and application development.
• 顧客、営業、マーケティング担当者との密接なコミュニケーションを通じて、顧客の計測ニーズを把握する
• 顧客のウェハーを用いた測定を実施し、取得データを解析することで、Nearfield Instrumentsのシステム性能を実証する
• 測定結果を顧客へ報告・プレゼンテーションし、Nearfieldの計測ソリューションが持つ独自の価値や優位性を提案する
• 顧客の製造工場（Fab）において測定レシピの開発・導入を行い、顧客のエンジニアやオペレーターと連携する
• 仕様要件を満たしていることを確認するための適格性評価（Qualification Test）を実施し、顧客エンジニアおよびオペレーターへのトレーニングを行う
• 開発・エンジニアリングチームおよびR&Dチームと協力し、以下に取り組む
○ 新しい測定モードおよび計測ソリューションの開発
○ データ処理アルゴリズムの改善
○ 製品性能および操作性の向上
• 顧客ロードマップ、製造現場での経験、ユーザー要望に基づく体系的なフィードバックを提供し、製品およびアプリケーション開発を支援する
Qualifications / 応募資格
Required Qualifications / 必須要件
• Native-level Japanese or JLPT N1-N2 proficiency, with professional business-level English communication skills.
• 7-12+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, metrology, or application engineering.
• Experience with AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy) or advanced metrology technologies is highly preferred.
• Experience working with Japanese semiconductor manufacturers and/or within the Japanese market.
• Proven experience leading teams and collaborating effectively within structured organisations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working within a global organization and reporting structure.
• Willingness to travel domestically within Japan and internationally as required.
• 日本語（母国語レベルまたはJLPT N1-N2）英語での実務経験（ビジネスレベル以上）
• 半導体製造装置、計測技術（メトロロジー）、またはアプリケーションエンジニアリングの分野で 7～12年以上の実務経験 をお持ちの方
• AFM（原子間力顕微鏡） または高度な計測技術に関する経験をお持ちの方を優遇
• 日本の半導体メーカーとの業務経験、または日本市場での実務経験をお持ちの方
• チームをリードし、体系化された組織の中で円滑に協働した実績をお持ちの方
• 優れたコミュニケーション能力を有し、複数のステークホルダーとの調整・関係構築を効果的に行える方
• 論理的かつ体系的に業務を進め、細部への注意力と高い品質意識をお持ちの方
• グローバルなレポートラインを持つ国際的な組織環境での業務に抵抗がない方
• 日本国内および海外への出張が可能な方

This position requires frequent travel to major semiconductor industry hubs and customer sites across Japan. Key locations include Nagasaki and other semiconductor manufacturing regions throughout the country.
